Michigan State Police Chase Runaway Cow on US-131

Have you herd about this? It wasn’t exactly fast food, but the Michigan State Police were called into action to wrangle a cow running free on US-131.

In a Facebook video published by MLive on January 29 you can see traffic has nearly stopped as a stray heifer gallops against traffic and eludes the efforts of state police playing cowboy and trying to corral the calf.

The incident happened a day before as the entree presumably escaped from the pasture to the freeway near Wayland, out for a Sunday stroll. Although they fail in this video, police eventually rustled up the bovine fugitive and returned it to its owner.

Well done, MSP…well done.
