Dantonio Refutes Reported Mishandling Of Sexual Assault Cases, Isn’t Resigning From MSU
Michigan State head football coach Mark Dantonio, at a brief press conference before Friday night's basketball game at the Breslin Center, refuted an ESPN "Outside The Lines" story reporting that he did not adequately handle sexual assault allegations against his players in the past.
Dantonio also said he is not resigning. You can hear his statement in the video below:
Dantonio, who just completed his 11th season as head coach, said the ESPN story's claims that he individually handled sexual assault complaints against his players are "completely false."
Earlier in the afternoon, an erroneous tweet stated that head basketball coach Tom Izzo was resigning. A similar false report said Dantonio was considering stepping down as well, which Dantonio called "absolutely false."
