With the way the Lions have been this season, no surprise that they only have one pro bowl player.   The team is also telling fans to be patient with the current staff.

According to the story from M-Live,  Lions cornerback Darius Slay will be in the Pro Bowl for the third straight year.   He is the only Lions player selected to be in the Pro Bowl.

Slay has had a down season missing a couple of games but he still has had two interceptions and 10 passes defended on the season.    As Slay makes it to another Pro Bowl, the team announced that Matt Patricia and Bob Quinn will return next season.

A letter from the team was sent out to the fans explaining the decision of keeping Patricia and Quinn.   The letter list injuries to major players as one of the reasons for the teams performance this season.   They also praised how hard the team has played  and stayed competitive and are committed to Matt Patricia's plan.

They ask fans to be patient with the current process of the team.   The team letter was signed by owner Martha Firestone Ford, vice chairwoman Sheila Ford Hamp and team president Rod Wood.

The Lions finish the season with games in Denver this Sunday and at home against Green Bay next Sunday.
