A final date for operation at the Battle Creek TreeHouse Foods location has been set. While the company had previously planned to close it's Battle Creek operation by the end of 2018, TreeHouse Foods has now filed its intent to close its Battle Creek facility on June 30.

The closure is expected to affect 75 employees, according to the Battle Creek Enquirer. The production at the Battle Creek facility is being moved to a TreeHouse Foods’ facility in Lancaster, Ohio.

TreeHouse bought the former Ralston plant from ConAgra Foods in February 2016, and by November of that year they had cut employees by 100.

The city of Battle Creek will be communicating with TreeHouse Foods in an effort to understand future plans for the facility located downtown.
