Decent WMU Sports Weekend, With Football Win, Hockey Split

With a big football victory and a split with Michigan in hockey, Bronco sports fans had enough to cheer about this weekend.
After being shut out at Yost Ice Arena on Friday night 4-0 (with ABC showing some footage during the Michigan-Notre Dame football game Saturday night), the Bronco hockey team rebounded with a 4-1 Saturday night at Lawson.
WMU's effort was lead with solid goaltending from Brandon Bussi and goals from Luke Bafia, Jason Polin, Michael Joyaux and Hugh McGing.
The Bronco football team pounded Bowling Green with their rushing attack, rushing for almost 400 yards (399) and scoring four touchdowns in the 3rd quarter to annihilate the Falcons.
LeVante Bellamy led the rushing attack with 178 yards. Davon Tucker added another 91, while quarterback Jon Wassink was 15 of 23 for 175 yards passing. Treshaun Howard had another big day on defense with two sacks and ten solo tackles.
The Bronco football team is off off until Tuesday, November 5th, when they switch into the ESPN2 MAC TV slot, with a game against first place Ball State.
The hockey team is on the road this coming weekend at Colorado College.
