We all know that many elected Democratic members of congress want to forgive all student loans.  Those loans are currently held or backed by the American taxpayer.

The Washington Free Beacon contacted the Democratic members of Congress who still owe student loan debt and ask them if they would be in support of adding an exemption to student loan forgiveness legislation that would ensure they don't benefit from it.

The results were stunning as the Washington Free Beacon found:

Just 1 of the 41 Democratic members of Congress who owe student loan debt said they'd support adding an exemption

That one lone Democrat Congressmen was Dan Soto from Florida.

They found that 63 members of Congress have a student loan debt totaling somewhere between $2.3 and $5.9 million. Of these 63 members, 41 Democrats account for 70% of the total congressional student debt. According to House and Senate financial disclosures.

The College for All Act of 2019 was introduced by Senator and Presidential Primary candidate Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.), Congresswoman Ilhan Omar (D., Minn.), and Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal (D., Wash.), would cancel all student debt regardless of someone or their families’ income.

What I found interesting is that Detroit area Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib still owes between $15,001 and $50,000, according to her financial disclosures.  She is 42 years old and still has not paid back her student loan debt.

By the way no Republicans have voiced support of legislation which would forgive everyone’s student loan debt.

You might ask how the Democrats plan to pay for this student loan forgiveness totaling over $1.6 trillion dollars, why of course tax the rich.

By the way who is going to pay me back for the student loan debt I paid back in the late 80’s and early 90’s?
