Fallen Comstock Chief Ed Switalski Honored by Illinois Fire Department
A memorial has been dedicated at Chief Switalski's former post at Pleasantville Fire Department in LaGrange, Illinois.
The fire department of Pleasantville, Illinois has dedicated a somber memorial to the man who spent 30 years in their service. A special plaque was unveiled and a window sticker with the Comstock FD logo and a black band that will adorn all Pleasantview trucks in remembrance of Ed Switalski who was killed in the line of duty on June 14.
The plaque reads:
In memory of: Edward A. Switalski Jr.
Retired Battalion Chief who gave his life in the performance of his duty.
