Now the real pain of P. J. Fleck's departure begins. Sports Illustrated says five of Fleck's prize recruits are following him to Minnesota.

Quarterback Tanner Morgan, linebacker Trenton Guthrie, defensive end Esezi Otomewo, receiver Chris Bell and defensive tackle Noah Hickcox have flipped their recruiting decision from Western Michigan to Minnesota to follow head coach P.J. Fleck.  - Sports Illustrated

During Fleck's four years at WMU, he had some of the best recruiting classes in the MAC conference. Now, it's clear, those players, who were Big Ten caliber players, are bailing on Western and headed the Minnesota.

It will be interesting to see who Western hires to replace Fleck and how much success that person has in stemming this exodus.
