According to a report from WILX.com, Ford Motor Company is recalling more than a half million trucks and sport-utility vehicles.

The recall is due to a potential seat malfunction during a collision. Seat backs on more than 550,000 2018-2020 F-150 and 2019-2010 Super Duty trucks, 2018-2019 Explorer and 2020 Expedition SUV's and some 2020 Explorer and Lincoln Aviator models have seat backs that may not be strong enough to restrain passengers.

Ford says it has no reports of injuries or crashes that have involved the potential issue. Owners will begin to be notified in early October if their vehicle is in need of repair.
