The 2017 World Series features the Los Angeles Dodgers and The Houston Astros.  The series will see a few former Detroit Tigers featured through out the games.

The most well known former Tigers player in this series is Justin Verlander.  He is coming off a dominating performance in The American League Championship series over the Yankees winning the MVP.

He will most likely continue his domination against the Dodgers. According to Yahoo sports he is set to start game 2 for the Astros.

The Dodgers feature former Tigers outfielder Curtis Granderson.  Curtis has also played for the Yankees and recently the Mets.  According to ESPN,  Curtis was left off the World Series roster so he will not play.   He should still be a valuable voice in the clubhouse.

The Astros feature another former Tigers outfielder as late in the season they picked up Cameron Maybin from the Angels.    According to his bio, he was originally drafted by the Tigers in 2005.   He was one of the pieces that brought Miguel Cabrera to Detroit in 2008.

He was traded back to the Tigers for the 2016 season before the Tigers traded him to the Angels before this year.    He will be a reserve outfielder who will be used for his speed so look for him as a possible base runner late in games.

Would have loved to have seen these guys win in a Tigers uniform but congratulations to them for making it with their current teams to the World Series.

Who do you think will win the World Series?
