A former teacher and Information Technology Director for Quincy Community Schools received his sentence following a no contest plea of criminal sexual conduct Monday.

Jason Ferrell will spend between seven years, 11 months, to 15 years in prison for two counts of criminal sexual conduct after having a sexual relationship with a then-15-year-old student beginning in 2016. Ferrell pleaded no contest in November on the two counts, with a plea bargain that dropped two first-degree and two third-degree CSC charges.

Ferrell has been credited for 285 days spent behind bars at the Branch County Jail since his April 2017 arrest.

Ferrell also stands to face six CSC charges in Calhoun County, as investigators believe the incidents also occurred at Ferrell's home in Battle Creek during the same time.
