Marvin Yagoda, founder of Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum, has died at the age of 78.  Marvin was an avid collector of games, attractions, and oddities, which he housed in his Mechanical Museum in Metro Detroit.

The museum is over 5,500 square feet of Marvelous located in Farmington Hills, MI.  Marvin's Museum has, games, rides, attractions, and completely bizarre oddities that date back to the turn of the 20th century.  You'll find 100 year old arcade baseball games and antique fortune teller machines right next to the latest and greatest in arcade video games.

Marvin had been traveling the world, collecting games since the 1960's and has been the owner of Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum since in opened in 1980.  The museum has been nationally featured several times over the years including a few appearances on The History Channel, it was named one of the 100 weirdest museums in the world by The World Almanac, and even rented out by Eminem for his 30th birthday party.

Having grown up less than 5 miles from this amazing arcade, I have to recommend a visit to anyone who will be in the Metro Detroit area.  Even if you don't like arcades, this is nothing like what you've seen before!  - Steve

Rest in Peace, Marvin.  You have brought wonder, amazement, and happiness to more people than you can imagine!
