Gibson guitars, founded in Kalamazoo in 1894 is returning production to the mitten!

Echopark guitars based out of Detroit is set to produce officially licensed Gibson guitars. This will be the first time a Gibson has come from Michigan since 1974.

Echopark founded by Gabriel Currie, started making guitars in 2008. He has made some guitars for some of the best players in the biz: Aerosmith's Joe Perry, Joe Bonamassa, Larry McCray and many more.

They were based out of LA but moved to Michigan in November of 2016.

Echopark also does repairs on guitars at their shop in Old Redford.

Gibson is one of the most iconic guitar makers in Classic Rock. The Les Paul, The Flying V have been used by just about everyone. Their price has always been out of control expensive. So, hopefully cutting down on production costs could lower the price and make it more affordable for the average guitar player.
