The Gilmore Car Museum in Hickory Corners has plans for a new exhibit.
The Museum is planning a 25 thousand square foot exhibit area devoted to
muscle cars.

What’s a muscle car? It’s a purely American phrase for a high performance
production car with lots of horsepower able to convert into speed. And
noise. Lots of noise. One of the earliest – the 1964 Ford Fairlane Thunderbolt. The 1968 Ford Mustang GT is considered by many as the most iconic muscle car of all, thanks to its role in the Steve McQueen movie…Bullitt. About 20 cars in the museum’s current collection could be described as muscle cars. That number will easily double with the completion of the new exhibit. The museum plans to open the new muscle car exhibit in about 18 months.
