God’s Kitchen Cancels Free Thanksgiving Dinner Due to Funding Shortage
For the first time in eight years, the Kalamazoo God's Kitchen location has had to cancel their Thanksgiving dinner due to a lack of funding. In fact, they have had to shutter their doors at the Paterson Street location until they have enough money to resume operations. This lack of money is also threatening the soup kitchen's free Christmas dinner, scheduled for December 18th. The last meal that will be served at Kalamazoo's God's Kitchen will be Wednesday, November 20th.
