Heavy damage has been reported and tens of thousands are without power following a severe weather outbreak Tuesday evening in parts of West Michigan. Four counties were under Tornado Warnings at various times.

Kent, Ionia, and parts of Eaton County were the most heavily affected areas, including a suspected tornado touchdown in the outskirts of metro Grand Rapids and near Lowell. Crews will survey the storm path today to determine if it was an actual tornado. Damage could also have resulted from strong straight-line winds, according to the National Weather Service.

There were no injuries reported. As of Thursday morning, over 30,000 were still without power in West Michigan, according to the Consumer's Energy outage map.
