Help Kalamazoo Kids Get the Supplies They Need To Get Back To School
The Salvation Army is teaming up with Walmart to fill school buses full of backpacks, binders, pencils, paper and other school supplies to go to area kids that might otherwise start school without needed supplies.
With your help, local families will be able to confidently send their children off to their first day of school knowing they are equipped with the tools to have a positive school year and teachers will not have to reach as deeply in their own pockets to provide these items for their classrooms. On August 3rd, the Salvation Army of Kalamazoo will be at area Walmart locations accepting donations of new back to school materials to be distributed to families in need in our area.

As part of a nationwide effort, the “Stuff the Bus” campaign event in the Kalamazoo area is one of nearly 3,000 similar events taking place at Walmart stores across the country. In-store shoppers on August 3 will receive lists of supplies needed, and all they have to do to participate is purchase and drop off the requested items at The Salvation Army of Kalamazoo collection bins located at the front of each store.
