Henry Ford Museum’s New Apollo Exhibit Looks Out Of This World

I grew up on the east side of the state and visited Greenfield Village and Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn Michigan a number of times.  I have not been to either in 40 years.  It may be time to end that drought.  A family member informed me of a great new exhibit titled “Apollo: When We Went To The Moon”.  It would probably take me and many of you back to our childhood and the wonderment of the moon and Apollo rockets.

In fact, right now as I write this I have just been transported back to my childhood when my mother and father took me and my three brothers camping in Florida and we visited the Kennedy Space Center.  I remember seeing how large those rockets were.

As the museum site states:

Launch yourself behind-the-scenes for man’s first steps on the moon, and find out how the space race inspired generations of Americans to reach for the stars. Apollo: When We Went to the Moon is an out-of-this-world glimpse into the cultural, technological and political context of the moon landing, touching down at Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation

For the price of admission, general admission to the museum is $27 per adult, $24.25 for seniors and $20.25 for children among other exhibits you can see according to their website:
