It's nearly as far North in Michigan as you can go. Huron River Lodge sits 20 miles Northwest of Marquette in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Long abandoned, it is now deteriorating and barely holding on.

Nancy Haun is from the city of Detroit, but is now dedicated to the conservation and preservation of the beauty of Michigan's Upper Peninsula. She shared the story and some amazing photos of the Huron River Lodge in her Facebook group Yooper Adventures with Nancy and Friends.

Once a place that created many happy childhood memories, including the sighting of Nancy's first bald eagle, the cabin, now precariously balanced on the edge of the Huron River, is incrementally being reclaimed by Mother Nature.

See the gallery of photos she took on a recent visit.
