After playing for the Detroit Pistons summer league team last month, former Michigan State sharpshooter Matt McQuaid (pictured) will start his professional basketball career in Germany with the Fraport Skyliners, according to multiple media outlets.

McQuaid was a key cog for MSU in their last two Big Ten regular season championships.  And he was one of the reasons why the Spartans advanced to the Final Four this past season before losing to Texas Tech in the national semifinals.

McQuaid averaged 10 points and 3 rebounds a game in his senior season.  And his seven three-point baskets helped the Spartans beat Michigan in the Big Ten Tournament Championship Game this past March.
