Indiana Pizza Delivery Driver Gets a New Car as a Tip
After delivering pizza for over 30 years, this guy was just given the most amazing tip.
Robert Peters of Tipton, Indiana has been delivering pizza for 31 years. He has been driving around central Indiana in his rusty 1993 Oldsmobile Cutlass. Peters told CBS News that his family has pushed him to consider taking a job that would pay more,
There were people in my family that were like, 'Maybe you should consider something a little more financially stable.' But it's my purpose in life — trying to make people happy. You know, when you're delivering to somebody, you may be the only face they see all day.
A regular customer named Tanner Langley was so impacted by Peter's amazing customer service and positive attitude wanted to give back to the dedicated delivery driver. So, he reached out to the community to raise money for a new car and boy did they come thru according to CBS News,
In just two days, the good people of Tipton donated enough for a shiny, red Chevy Malibu, including insurance and gas money — $19,000 in total.
You can see a very happy Robert Peters and his beautiful new Chevy Malibu in the video below from Fox 59.
We're so overwhelmed with bad news lately. In the past week we covered stories out of Indiana that included a drunk driver testing 5 times the legal limit and an angry customer hitting a Wendy's employee with a car. Then a moment like this helps us regain our faith in humans...and Indiana.
