This creepy historical fact may explain the haunting of the Kalamazoo airport and Air Zoo.

Before we get to that fact, remember the 1982 horror movie Poltergeist?  A family moves into a new home and goes through hell only to find out that the entire neighborhood was built on top of graves.  Spooky, right?

According to the book "Haunted History of Kalamazoo" by  Nicole Bray, Robert DuShane,

During the early 1800s, Kalamazoo was home to a large Potawtomi village.  The tract included approximately four square miles and was roughtly centered on the site of the current Kalamazoo-Battle Creek International Airport.  In fact, the tribal burial grounds were located just a couple hundred feet to the Southwest of the current terminal.

White people took over the land in 1821.  It is difficult to find information as to if the graves were moved or if they still exist underneath the Kalamazoo-Battle Creek International Airport and the Air Zoo.

This sounds like a case for Sam and Dean of Supernatural doesn't it?
