The Largest Baseball Stadium In Michigan Is Getting An Upgrade

While Michigan loves its football and hockey, baseball is still America's greatest pastime and has hundreds of thousands of fans in the Mitten state. Many kids start with Tee ball and find themselves falling in love with the game, playing for years, and becoming a fans of the MLB.

Many of them have dreams and inspirations of becoming one of the best players in the Major Leagues. They spend countless hours watching or attending MLB baseball games, hoping to experience history while watching the game they love. This creates memories and builds bonds that last a lifetime.

Going to a baseball game can be one of the best experiences that someone has and it doesn't cost an arm and a leg like many other sporting events. The cheapest MLB tickets are somewhere between $10-$30 and the food can be cheap as well. This has created an atmosphere where people will go to baseball games because they have nothing else to do.

While the baseball stadium can be fun and has plenty of awestriking qualities, some parks are better than others. If you ask me, Comerica Park in Detroit, Michigan is one of the best baseball stadiums in all of North America. I enjoy going to Comerica as the glorious park adds to the ambiance of downtown Detroit.

Although Comerica Park is already amazing, the Detroit Tigers organization has decided to invest more money and upgrade the stadium. They are adding climate-controlled seats to their VIP section starting in the upcoming 2025 MLB season.

The seats will be placed in the Home Plate Club which is for season ticket holders that sit right behind home plate between the two dugouts. The climate-controlled seats were designed by a Spanish company that will use Michigan-made technology to absorb less UV and keep the seats cooler.

In addition to the climate control, the seats in the Home Plate Club will have an extra foot of leg room, wider armrests, a high back plate, and a wider padded seat. The Home Plate Club will also have other curated amenities such as but not limited to:

• exclusive restrooms
• food and beverage services
• private entry to Comerica Park
• VIP Parking
• a separate lounge

They have already started construction and the seats will be ready come opening day on April 4th, 2025 but the lounge won't be completed until sometime during the season.
