This Years Puppy Bowl Features Two Michigan Puppies
This time of year, is the time where football matters the most. Sure, there are millions of us who spend months watching NFL and college football games, investing in our favorite team's success or failure. Often times more than we should, but that's the excitement of the sport. For some people, it's all about the championship games.

Lots of people watch the College Football Championship game because it's one of the only things to watch on a Monday night or they like one or both of the schools that are playing. Tons of people only watch the Super Bowl for the commercials and the Halftime Show but that's a ton of eyeballs.
Believe it or not, there are some people who could care less about either of those football games because the way they are interested in is played on a much smaller field. Yes, I'm talking about the Puppy Bowl, the Super Bowl like football game for puppies from all over the country.
The Puppy Bowl takes tear jerking to a new level as they always use rescue puppies for the game. This year's game has 142 rescue puppies from 80 shelters across 40 states and two countries including Michigan. There are two puppies from Michigan playing in this year's game: Rory from Muskegon and Trixie from Harbor Springs.
The show, taking place the same day as Super Bowl LIX, highlights the puppies, and the dedication of the rescues and shelters that help the animals find forever homes. This year's teams, Team Ruff and Team Fluff, will face off on the gridiron for the "Lombarky" Trophy.
The Puppy Bowl is on Sunday February 9th at 2pm and can be streamed on the following platforms:
- Discovery+
- Animal Planet
- Discovery
- TBS
- truTV
- Max
This year, they are having the inaugural puppy combine where they will compete in practice drills showing why they should be the first puppy taken off the board in the draft.
