One of the pillars of Presidents Donald Trump's campaign when running for the presidency in 2024 was the implementation of tariffs for imported and exported goods. This would be the first step in eliminating the federal reserve and taxes for American citizens. Unfortunately, many people feel that he didn't think about the repercussions that would come from this decision.

Firstly, many countries began to threaten action in return or decided to just turn their backs on America as a whole while others went "two can play that game" and decided to raise the prices on goods to make sure that they receive their profits. So, at the end of the day, the American citizens are the ones that are receiving all of the consequences from the tariffs.

Independence Day is right around the corner and many people look forward to spending time with family, throwing some food on the grill, and ending the day with fireworks. While all of this is normal, there is a chance that some people will either purchase less fireworks or opt out of the tradition all together.

An overwhelming majority of firework products come from China, the new 35% tariff is pushing firework prices through the roof this year. Most firework sellers purchased products earlier than normal and will be able to offset the costs, but some will not. Next year, we are expected to see the full effect of the tariffs on fireworks in the summer of 2026.

You may want to save up some extra cash or stock up this year because firework prices will definitely be going up soon.
