No Money! No Problem! Here are Some Cheap Halloween Fun Events To Do In West Michigan
It's Halloween week! With the spooky holiday being next Monday, it is crunch time to figure out what you will be doing and where you will be going.
Some of the costs of the Halloween festivities are expensive! However, I found some cheap (even FREE) options you can do to still have fun this Halloween.
Blandford Halloween Hunt (Grand Rapids)
Cost breakdown:
- Child Member: $7
- Child Non-member: $10
- Adult Member/Non-member: $3
- 2 & under: Free

Between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, you can visit the Blandford Halloween Hunt.
"Come one and all for a fun, Halloween-themed scavenger hunt! Pick up a map and clues, then hit the trails to explore all corners of Blandford while picking up spooky facts and creepy tales of Michigan nature. When you've solved all of the mysteries, turn in your clue sheet and receive a sweet prize! Costumes are encouraged!"
Pumpkinfest 2022 (Battle Creek)
Date: October 29th
For the second year in a row, Battle Creek's Pumpkinfest is back. From noon to 8:00 PM, you and your whole family can experience Halloween fun.
With trick or treating, a haunted hayride, free carnival games, food trucks, and more, it sounds like a fun time for the entire family.
John Ball Area Neighbors Trunk or Treat (Grand Rapids)
Cost: Free
Date: October 31st
From 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM on Halloween night, The Youth of Resurrection Fellowship Church is hosting "The Ultimate Trunk or Treat."
Free food, games, and candy! What more could you ask for?

"Scare" on Sparta Town Square (Sparta)
Cost: $5.00
Date: October 29th
Courtesy of Sparta Chamber & Local Business, you can grab a "BOO Bag" and your family can go trick or treating at all of the stores at the Sparta Town Square Shops. There will also be a haunted walk as well.
You can also get a pumpkin while supplies last and decorate them.
Pumpkin Prowl (Ada)
Cost: Free
Date: October 28th
From 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, you can have a hauntingly good time.
"There will be trick-or-treating available throughout Ada Village as well as additional ABA member businesses set up along River Street - over 60 businesses participating! The event will feature pumpkin treats, photo ops, a family-friendly movie at the Legacy Park Pavilion the local fire and sheriff departments, music, and more!"
