With Passing of Grand Rapids Pop Tarts Creator, We Ranked Every Flavor, Worst To Best
Pop-Tarts are one of the most iconic breakfast snacks to ever be created if not the most. Back when they were invented in 1963, Kellogg’s may have not known just how iconic their breakfast pastry would become. But over 60 years later, it continues to be the fast grab snack in the morning for many people, inspiring knock-off brands all over the country.
News recently came out that the creator of pop tarts, a Grand Rapids man by the name of William "Bill" Post passed away at the age of 96 on February 10. His obituary lists that he was once a Keebler plant manager in Grand Rapids back in the 60s, which is when he made the jump to Kellogg’s and created one of the most iconic breakfast snacks of all time.
He passed away in Grand Rapids, but the memory of him, and the creation that he made will live on forever. So in the spirit of helping sustain his memory, we have ranked, all the pop tart flavors from worst to best.
Some were omitted from this list only because they are brand new and we haven’t had the chance to try them yet but the following 20 iconic flavors can be seen below. Let us know if you think we nailed the list, or if we just straight-up toasted it.
Either way, we can all thank Bill Post for making one of our favorite morning snacks and agree to disagree on what we think the greatest flavor of all time is, but I think we were on point.
