The saying "Not all heroes wear capes" may sound cliché, but in the case of the rescuing, “Bucket Head,” or Liberty, a poor dog who had a cheese ball bucket stuck on her head for over two weeks, there is truly a hero in West Michigan.

Mary Humphrey made an incredible rescue for the female pitbull in the Parchment area of Kalamazoo on the Fourth of July. What makes the story so incredible is Mary sadly just lost her mother and while dealing with the loss of someone so special, took the time out to make this incredible save.

Now Buckethead is in the care of team Seether, who is taking care of her and trying to locate any owners. Mary provided info on how she was able to safely capture this adorable pup:

This poor girl has been running around Parchment with a plastic cheese ball container stuck on her head for at least 15 days. This was a little more of a challenge to get her in a trap as her smell was compromised with the bucket over her head. Visual aides were used to attract her in, with the hopes that she would go in and check them out. And eventually, she played right along! Overall she seems to be in good health. Hungry & thirsty, nails need a trim, and really stinks! Seems super relieved, and grateful at the same time.
