We've talked a lot before about the House of David in Benton Harbor and the storied history they made in Southwest Michigan, but these last few months of 2022 they'll be focusing their energy on helping people ring in the holidays.

Now known as Eden Springs Park located at 739 M-139 in Benton Harbor, they offer miniature train rides that run on weekends from Noon to 5 p.m. on Memorial Day through Labor Day generally during the year. But they open the tracks on weekends for their Halloween and Christmas train rides as well.

Starting October 15th, the train will be offering train rides to families from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on October 15, 16, 22, 23, 29, and 30. The cost is $4 per ticket, cash only. They also told the public to keep an eye out in December, as that's when they'll be announcing the holiday train ride dates and times.

This is an annual tradition that helps contribute to the preservation, restoration, and operation of the historic Eden Springs Park

Train rides at the House of David go a long way back and the memories of its past are still very strong today, as Tour Guide and Web Designer Dan Geib explains on the website:

Memories as a child visiting Eden Springs Park & Zoo have created a passion on my part to try to recreate the House of David Park in picture and movie formats. The train rides, the peacocks walking about the aviary, the thrill of driving miniature cars, and the roller coaster excitement crossing over the 40 ft train trestles. Mary Alice provided me a video of all the video clips that you can enjoy as well as some wonderful pictures scanned from Earl's scrapbook. My goal is to  re-create a 'virtual' tour of The House of David's Eden Springs Park & Zoo.
