Kalamazoo authorities are issuing a warning after a string of counterfeit bills were passed on Saturday.

The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety says that four separate cases of fake $100 and $20 bills being used were discovered.  Authorities say that the bills seem high quality and realistic, but have “for motion picture use only” printed on them.

In the cases over the weekend, no suspects have turned up and the cases remain under investigation.

KDPS urges businesses and private persons to exercise caution, and to thoroughly examine bills worth $20 or more to verify they are genuine.
