UPDATE:

All patron, volunteer and student activities at the Civic will halt until April 6th, and Frozen will be postponed until April 13th

As the public is being urged to stay home and avoid crowds, a lot of people are scrambling to change plans and reschedule events. That's hard to do where tickets are concerned. According to a recent press release from the folks at the Kalamazoo Civic Theatre, they are making every effort to ensure safe and sanitized theatre spaces. According to the release, the increased steps they're taking are:

  • increasing cleaning and sanitation, supplying hand sanitizer in prominent spots around each of the venues, restrooms and rehearsal spaces
  • Staff will regularly clean all surfaces, doorknobs, furniture and floors
  • disinfectant wipes will be provided to our patrons to clean and disinfect seating armrests, chairs etc.if they so choose.
  • encouraging audience members, volunteers, and students who are sick to stay home

If you have any questions regarding your tickets for an upcoming show at the Kalamazoo Civic Theatre, call the box office at (269) 343-1313.

A message posted to the Farmers Alley Theatre Facebook Page says, quote, "After long and careful discussions on how to best serve our audience and community right now amidst the COVID-19 crisis, Farmers Alley Theatre has decided that the best way forward is to cancel performances to LOST IN YONKERS and BALLOONACY during the month of March."
