Kalamazoo Credit Union Robbed at Gunpoint

The person responsible for a robbery at a credit union in Kalamazoo yesterday remains at large.  Kalamazoo Police responded to the robbery at the Preferred Credit Union on South Westnedge at around 10am.  Investigators say a man armed with a handgun held up the credit union and then took off on foot.  A nearby school was briefly on lockdown while officers searched the neighborhood.  Surveillance images indicate the robber is a black male, standing around 5’5” to 5’8”, with a light build, wearing a white hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and white tennis shoes, with a blue backpack.  Anyone with information is being asked to call Kalamazoo Police or Silent Observer.
