Warm thoughts. Warm thoughts. That's what I keep telling myself. That's what's on the horizon too. We are almost officially done with winter people! What better way to get excited for spring than to find out the Kalamazoo Farmers Market has just announced their opening day. Saturday, May 4th from 7:00 a.m. 2:00 p.m., you'll be able to dabble in on all sorts of locally grown produce, meat, cheese, bread, art, and more at the Kzoo Farmers market at 1204 Bank St, in Kalamazoo.

Music, the "Taste of the Market," and Vendors will be announced soon so keep an eye on their events page to stay updated.  The Farmers Market accepts multiple forms of food assistance currencies, such as EBT, WIC and SENIOR Project Fresh, and Hoophouses for Health. Those using EBT can also double their money through Double Up Food Bucks, which matches up to $20 for Michigan grown fruits and vegetables. To try it out, visit them at the Office in the middle of the market.
