It was announced earlier this year that the Kalamazoo Farmers Market which normally operates on Bank Street was going to be temporarily moving locations so that renovations could take place, as their Instagram post made clear:

Our Bank Street location is set to undergo extensive renovations in 2021, so we're packing up and moving the Market to Mayor's Riverfront Park! Customers can shop fresh foods and handmade goods from over 100 local farmers, food businesses, and artisans starting Saturday, May 1 from 7am-2pm!

Well to prepare for their opening day of the season, they're hosting a soft opening at the new location the weekend before things finally get kicked off. Patrons of the farmers market will have a chance to explore the new setup and location to get familiar with the layout for the upcoming season:

We're hosting a Soft Opening at our new, 2021 location on Saturday, April 24 from 8am-1pm!Swing by our new location, get acquainted with the new space and shop dozens of vendors a week before Opening Day.

Some of the hopeful renovations they were looking to make on the Bank St. location was a new restroom building with double the current restroom capacity, a larger office, increased storage by more than 50%, and also a fruit and vegetable playground for kids. The renovations to the original site are expected to be finished by the time the Kalamazoo farmers Market season begins in 2022. Starting May 1st, the Kalamazoo Farmers Market will be open on weekends 7 a.m. until 1 p.m.
