Kalamazoo Teen Arrested After Shooting At His Friend
A Kalamazoo teen has been arrested after he allegedly fired a weapon at another teen.
Kalamazoo Public Safety Officers responded to the 600 block of W. Ransom Street around 5:15pm Monday on reports of shots fired. A 19-year-old Kalamazoo teen told authorizes that that she had gotten into an argument with a 16-year-old friend when he pointed a gun at her, before he fired a shot and fled.
No one was injured in the shooting.
Authorities brought in a K-9 unit and tracked the suspect to a home a few blocks from the scene, and arrested the teen without incident. The firearm was recovered and found to have been stolen.
The 16-year-old was lodged in the Kalamazoo County Juvenile home on felonious assault, felony firearm and possession of a stolen firearm charges.
