Kalamazoo Teen Charged In Deadly Crash Headed To Trial
A trial is now looming for a Kalamazoo teen accused of killing a woman with his car while fleeing police.
17-year-old David Mills appeared in Kalamazoo County District Court Tuesday, and waived his preliminary hearing. Mills is charged with driving on a suspended license causing death, along with fleeing and eluding, in connection to an incident in January.
Authorities tried to pull over Mills on January 9, but he allegedly fled at high speed and crashed into a car driven by 33-year-old Crystal Norton of Paw Paw, the impact killing her.
Mills’ next court appearance is scheduled for March 7.
