Kalamazoo Teenager Shot at Apartment Complex

A teenage woman was shot at an area apartment complex early this morning.

According to a Kalamazoo Public Safety release, at approximately 6 a.m. this morning, Public Safety Officers were sent to 1332 Fox Ridge Dr. on a report of shots fired.

It was discovered that a 17 year old Kalamazoo woman was shot in the leg after a verbal altercation with a man in the parking lot of the complex.

The unknown suspect produced a handgun, as the woman walked away, and shot her once in the leg.  The suspect fled the scene in a light colored van.The victim is presently at Bronson Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
