A fun-filled holiday market is coming to the 100 block of the Kalamazoo Mall from 5-8:30 p.m. this Friday, Nov. 15. I guess it's fitting we start so early considering Kalamazoo woke up to the first snow of the season this morning. I wasn't ready for that. The outdoor holiday market, KalamazooTopia, will be filled with vendors selling all thing Michigan. Everything from jewelry, ceramics, soaps, candles, crafts, and a ton more. Attendees will also be able to purchase beer, spirits and hot mulled wine.

KalamaTopia is a makers-mart outdoor cold-air shopping event that kicks off the holiday season. Named, KalamaTopia, this maker’s mart is the perfect opportunity to connect with the local makers, fondly called handmakers. Hosted on the Kalamazoo Mall, between Michigan Avenue and Water Street, everyone is welcome to come and be a part of the celebration of the rich talent and amazing products made by people in greater Kalamazoo. There will also be live DIY exhibits and entertainment – it will feel like a street block party of sorts. Partnerships with area restaurants will be designed to encourage people to visit all of downtown.
