K’zoo Candy Cane Hunt Is Saturday; Moved To Mayor’s Riverfront Park
Kalamazoo’s 10th annual Candy Cane Hunt is this Saturday, December 5th, from Noon – 2:00 p.m. This year's event is at a new location: Homer Stryker Field at Mayors’ Riverfront Park.
In addition to hunting for nearly 5,000 candy canes hidden throughout the park, children will have the opportunity to enjoy other seasonal activities such as arts & crafts, holiday music, visits with Santa, and drawings for stockings filled with toys & candy.
New to the event this year, the Parks & Recreation Department is partnering with Toys for Tots to help collect toys for children in our community that are in need. Participants are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy to donate. For each toy donated, a family will receive three additional entries for giveaway drawings.
Registration will be offered on-site from noon – 12:30 p.m., and is required for the candy cane hunt and giveaways.
