Lanes To Be Reduced on I-94 Near Detroit Metro Through The Fall
Heading to Detroit Metro anytime between now and this fall? Be prepared for reduced lanes near the airport.
According to the story from M-Live, I-94 will have repairs between I-275 and Beech Daly Road as well as bridge repairs along the highway beginning on Friday.
Both Eastbound and Westbound I-94 will be down to one lane between I-275 and US-24 this weekend.
Starting Monday (August 19), traffic will be on the shoulders with two lanes open in each direction through the fall. The service drive exits to Merriman and Middlebelt roads will be reduced to one lane.
If you are traveling to Detroit Metro it is suggested to use the airport access off of Eureka Road at I-275. Access from I-94 to the airport will be limited. You can get more details on the project from Michigan Department of Transportation here.
Along with the road work that continues in Jackson on I-94 from M-60 to Sargent Road, this section is another construction area to keep in mind along I-94 this fall.
