Complaints from citizens led to a large drug bust in Kalamazoo earlier this week.

On Monday, December 14, a collaborative effort was undertaken by the Kalamazoo Valley Enforcement Team, the Community Policing Unit and the Kalamazoo Metro SWAT team to execute a search warrant at a residence in the 4400 block of Dover Hills Dr. Residents in the area had made several complaints of drug sales and weapons violations.

Inside the home, authorities found a large amount of marijuana, items used in pot sales, and a loaded handgun. The items were seized, and numerous drug and weapons charges are expected to be brought against a 25-year-old Muskegon man.

The suspect is on probation out of Muskegon County, and was not in the home when the raid occurred.

KVET would like to remind citizens that anyone with information regarding illegal activity is asked to contact police or Silent Observer.
