Authorities are searching for a man who fled the scene of a multi-vehicle accident on I-69, around 1:00 PM Wednesday afternoon.

A pick-up truck was being pulled from a ditch, alongside southbound I-69 at mile marker 45, when the truck that was pulling the first truck was struck by a third vehicle. The third vehicle was then struck by a semi-truck. The driver of that vehicle, a 22 year-old man from Clarkston, was transported to Borgess Hospital with life threatening injuries.

Following the crash the man, driving the second truck that caused the crash, fled the scene. The driver is described as a white man in his mid-20’s, a thin build standing five-foot eleven to six foot tall. He was accompanied by a white female, wearing a pink hoodie, and also a dog. He was driving a silver Ford F-250 or F-350 diesel truck with a sticker on the front of the truck with the words “Stroke This”. It has a chrome colored toolbox across the back of the cab and a dog kennel in the bed.

Anyone with information on this vehicle is asked to call the Calhoun County Sheriff’s office or Silent Observer.
