Meijer Asks Customers To Leave Their Guns Covered Up
The law says you can openly carry weapons with the right paper work, but many retailers are saying no.
Mlive is reporting that Meijer made the request on Monday to customers. The Midwest retailer stated via Twitter that "the open display of guns can make employees and customers feel in danger".

“The safety of our customers and team members is our top priority, so we respectfully request that our customers do not open carry firearms at Meijer. We’ve made this decision because open carry can create an environment that makes our customers and team members feel unsafe.”

The trend of not being armed when shopping seems to be picking up steam. Plus, it was just a week or so ago that Walmart spread the word that will no longer sell handgun ammunition in stores and will ask customers not to openly carry firearms inside.
Times are changing, and just all need to keep up.
