Back in the fall of 2019, Daniel Ament from Gross Pointe became the first teen to undergo a double lung transplant due to vaping. His story went viral and the real dangers of vaping became a reality.

According to Fox2, Daniel is now healing and speaking out about his health, hoping he can have an impact on the lives of his peers.

In the video above, Daniel describes what life was like before and after having a double lung transplant.

This kid is lucky as hell to be alive after spending 29 days on life support. Apparently, as a 16-year-old, he only had a 10 percent chance of survival.

I don't pretend to know the first thing about vaping because I don't do it and I don't know very many people that do. However, I do think we were all made to believe that vaping was safer than smoking but after hearing Daniel's story, I don't think that's necessarily the case.
