Heading to Michigan International Speedway This Weekend?   Michigan Department of Transportation has announced that they will suspend work and reopen lanes on major state highways for race weekend at M.I.S.

According to the press release,  work on most roads in counties around M.I.S  will be suspended from 7 a.m. Thursday, June 9, until 7 a.m. Tuesday, June 14.

However, several MDOT projects still will have restrictions in place over race weekend and MDOT urges motorists to drive with caution in the work zones.

To assist race fans, MDOT is posting race day travel information on the MDOT website (www.michigan.gov/mdot).

Fans are also encouraged to download the Mi Drive traffic information app on their smartphones and mobile devices.
