MSP Issues Alert For Missing 78 Yr Old Dowagiac Man

The Michigan State Police have issued a "Endangered Missing Advisory" for a 78 year old Dowagiac man, last seen on Wednesday evening, March 27th.

Larry Paul Waldschmidt, is the missing man. He has Alzheimer's Disease and is insulin dependent. He was last seen in the area of 24000 Jefferson St. in Dowagiac. He was last seen working in his yard at around 5:45 pm on and was reported missing at 6:30pm on Wednesday evening.

Michigan State Police describe Waldschmidt as a white male, 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing 240 pounds. He has grey hair, blue eyes. He was wearing gray sweat pants, gray T-shirt black Velcro tennis shoes. He has a scar behind his right ear from surgery. He might have been driving a white 2002 Ford Escape with a handicap Michigan license plate H1499.
