The Western Michigan University Broncos will look back on this game and shake their collective heads, knowing they gave up a critical point  heading towards the end of this NCHC season.

After being up 2-0, the Broncos squandered that lead, and ended up settling for one point. (with Miami scoring in 3 on 3 OT to actually win the game)

Once again, the Broncos opened strong, scoring just 1:21 into the game, with Hugh McGing notching the goal. That lead held through the rest of the first period. Mattias Samuelsson scored in 13:38 into the second period to double the WMU lead, but a Matt Barry goal with one minute left in the second period cut the lead in half. Then, Derek Daschke evened the game early in the third period. Regulation time ended with the scored tied, so the Broncos picked one point the standings.

With North Dakota's 4-1 win over Denver Friday night, the Broncos get sole possession of third place in the league. The same two teams play again tonight in Oxford, OH.
