MSP Arrest Sturgis Man For Child Sexually Abusive Activity

Michigan State Police arrested a 19-year-old Sturgis man following an investigation into his online activity.
Through a joint investigation with the Michigan State Police (MSP) Computer Crimes Unit (CCU), Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, 19-year-old Alejandro Sanchez, 19 of Sturgis was arrested.
The MSP CCU/ICAC Task Force Coldwater Office followed up on a National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) tip involving online activity using the social media platform Instagram. Additional content was located uncovering the uploading of child sexually abusive material to a cloud account.
The St. Joseph County Prosecutor’s Office charged Sanchez and he was arraigned on one count of child sexually abusive activity, two counts of using a computer to commit a crime, and three counts of possession of child sexually abusive material.
