MLive reported on Thursday that fourth-year junior wide receiver Cam Chambers (pictured, #21) has left the Michigan State University football program and will enter the NCAA's transfer portal.

Chambers is the fifth Michigan State player to enter the portal since the start of the 2019 season.  Running backs Ladarius Jefferson and Connor Heyward, as well as linebacker Brandon Bouyer-Randle and wide receiver Weston Bridges have all left the program and will try to play at other schools.

Cam was a four-star recruit out of New Jersey in the class of 2016, but has only played in two games this season and hasn't caught any passes.

Chambers' departure comes during one of the Spartans' two bye weeks this season.  State hosts Penn State a week from Saturday at Spartan Stadium.  Then MSU has their second bye week right after that.
