Former Michigan State football staffer Curtis Blackwell is alleging in another lawsuit, filed on Tuesday, that he was fired by former head coach Mark Dantonio because he is African American.

Blackwell is suing Michigan State and others for monetary damages for wrongful termination dating back to 2017.

Blackwell was instrumental in recruiting for MSU football from 2013 until he was relieved of his duties in 2017. He has also alleged that the school committed NCAA recruiting violations during his time on staff.

Michigan State did not comment on the most recent lawsuit.
